Manila Harbor Center’s Health (MHC), Safety and Environment (HSE) Section conducted a refresher training on safety standards for maintenance work last 12 May.

The refresher course, attended by MHC’s Facilities Management Section, reminded employees about the policies and safety procedures to foster a culture of continuous learning, reduce mistakes, minimize exposure to hazards, achieve safety compliance, and avoid accidents. The session was spearheaded by HSE Manager Jennifer Olaer-Salazar together with Safety Officer Enrico Roces.

MHC’s health and safety programs ensure that employees retain key information on safe work practices, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), hot work safety, work at heights and ergonomics. Following the recent training, employees are expected perform their tasks more responsibly and take the necessary safety precautions to help them become more productive and efficient.

The HSE section will continue to organize this type of trainings to promote a safe work environment and safeguard the well-being of all terminal personnel.
