Dredging works at MHC
Manila Harbor Center (MHC), in cooperation with Prime Metro BMD, recently completed dredging along the quay side to maintain the safe berthing of vessels.
Depth alongside the terminal’s 1,035-meter berth has now reached a draft maximum of 10.5-meter MLLW, a development that enables MHC to boost its berth capacity and meet client demands according to Phillip Marsham, ICTSI Global Director for MHC.
In addition to dredging, MHC has also fabricated mobile sheds that are equipped with solar lighting. These sheds are used by checkers and client representatives during vessel operation.
MHC runs the largest international bulk and breakbulk operations at the Port of Manila, catering to major industries including construction, mining, power generation, telecommunication, transportation, manufacturing and agriculture, among others, that bolster the Philippine economy.
