Manila Multipurpose Terminal (MMT) participated in the annual celebration of the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) campaign on September 20, 2024, held along the MMT coastline facing the Manila Bay Area.

In line with the Philippine Ports Authority's (PPA) advocacy to reduce marine pollution, raise environmental awareness, and support climate change mitigation measures, MMT's activity coincided with the ICC’s cleanup day, which carried this year's theme, "Be part of the solution to ocean trash and #SEATHECHANGE."

Thanks to the active involvement of 45 volunteer employees, 640 kilograms of assorted plastic materials and other non-biodegradable waste—equivalent to two truckloads—were successfully collected.

MMT is committed to global environmental sustainability by preserving and protecting water resources, minimizing harmful effects on biodiverse ecosystems, and addressing ocean pollution through coastal cleanup initiatives.
